When hand done lettering matches up the images perfectly it is a beautiful thing.
This is a great example of expressive typography. The type looks custom and the flowing to create the instrumental sensibilities is so well done.
I am a huge fan of Milton Glaser. His bold work with type has had a huge impact on me.
A modern update of art nouveau for a current band poster. I am such a sucker for this style.
We have a copy of this in special collections. This photo does not do it justice. The pop ups are not very complex but it is still so cool.
I can't find a large enough image to tell if this real . I really doubt it but this is certainly obtainable to a sculptor and I would like to see it.
How cool is this? I would like the full alphabet.
Shapes made into type is nice, but the use of overlap incorporated is very nice.
I got to go to this show at the SMART museum. It was amazing, they had all the rough drafts and original mock ups.
so well done
This is a great idea for a poster. However the type doesn't quite fit the outline. Some smaller type around the edges to flush out the edges would look great.
Ever since I did the type specimen I have come to use Univers as my default typeface for body copy in cases where sans serifs are needed.
What I like about this how the text is broken by the countries and not stretched to meet the outlines.
nice twist on a classic phrase.
What really looks great about this to me is the texture elements. They look really nice against the black. I also appreciate the boldness with faint darting serifs.
a tandem bike finally looks good.
I wish I could have found a larger image to truly appriciate how clever and well exicuted this is.

It is always nice to see well executed and unique hand drawn type. It almost make me forget about all of those terrible digital "hand drawn" faces.... almost
I greatly admire the difficulty it took to make this image. Thought it has minimal type portrayed, I think it was a great incorporation of text.
